Twiddle is set to perform at the 9:30 Club on January 19th, 2023. The Vermont-based quartet has been touring since 2004 and is no stranger to the DMV, having performed at the 9:30 Club, The Anthem, The 8x10, Rams Head Live, Baltimore Soundstage, The Jefferson Theater, and Lockn. Twiddle is also no stranger to kicking off their tours at our beloved 9:30 Club. In 2020 they kicked off their 2020 Winter Tour at the 9:30 Club on January 25th, 2020.

Twiddle Enjoys Television & Movies With A Very Memorable 9:30 Club Run
Twiddle's first headlining show at 9:30 Club was in 2016. This year, an anxious and energetic crowd greeted fans at[...]

Many things have taken place since their last performance, but their powerful performances have stayed the same. Incendiary and peaking guitar solos by Mihali Savoulidis, delicate and complex music by keyboardist Ryan Dempsey, and powerful notes and 'Gubb Dumps' by bassist Zdenek Gubb. One thing that has changed is Adrian Tramontano (of Kung Fu), who is filling in for Brook Jordan on drums while Brook is on hiatus from the band.

Another thing that has changed since Twiddle last performed at the 9:30 Club is the release of their latest album, Every Last Leaf.  This album, released on August 12th of this year, was a much anticipated and celebrated followup to Plump: Chapter 2, released in 2017.

Every Last Leaf is an album about life and the emotions that come along with it - the good, the bad, and everything in between. It's a metaphor for the circle of life; as one leaf dies and falls off the tree, it becomes part of the Earth, feeding the very roots that gave it life and creating new life in the process.

While Twiddle is no stranger to the DMV, this is your opportunity to hear songs from Every Last Leaf performed live. An even more compelling reason to see Twiddle perform at the 9:30 Club is that this may be one of your last opportunities to see Twiddle perform live in Washington, DC. On November 29th, 2022, Savoulidis announced that the band will take an indefinite hiatus for the foreseeable future, with 2023 being their last year touring.

If we were to sum up why you should see Twiddle perform on the 19th, we look no further than Zdenek Gubb's song "The Mission" from Every Last Leaf - "I'm gonna speak my mind / It's time to listen / You know that feeling inside / That funny premonition / Don't deny it anymore, it's time to accept the mission."

We look forward to seeing Twiddle kick off their 2023 Winter Tour at the 9:30 Club on January 19th. We hope you accept the mission and make it to the 9:30 Club.
