There are a few signs of Spring around Baltimore and Washington DC, Cherry Blossoms blooming, colorful flowers coming back to life, and for music lovers, the arrival of Baltimore's beloved Charm City Bluegrass Festival.

Last year Charm City Bluegrass reappeared on the music calendar after a necessary two-year hiatus.  This year, Charm City Bluegrass returns for a very special 10th year and returns to where it all began - Union Craft Brewing! Those who have not been to Union Craft Brewing in some time also moved locations a few ago and now reside in the expansive Union Collective in Hampden.

Charm City Bluegrass Festival 2022 – Festival Season Makes A Glorious Return To Baltimore
This past weekend music fans from throughout the region once again descended on Druid Hill Park in Baltimore, MD, for[...]

Aside from a location change, the festival has also pushed its date back one week and will now take place on May 5th & 6th, 2023, starting at 3 PM on Friday and continuing at 10 AM on Saturday with a late night at The 8x10 when music concludes. Never forget or underestimate an 8x10 afterparty. We all fondly recall some legendary performances held there, including the 2018 afterparty that featured Jeff Austin and a certain Billy Strings made a guest appearance that night.

This year festival organizers have crafted a spectacular lineup that includes:  The Infamous Stringdusters (Saturday), The Steel Wheels (Friday), Cris Jacobs's tribute to John Prine (Saturday), Magic Beans (Friday & Saturday), Roots Of-Creation Presents Grateful Dub – Tribute to the Pizza Tapes (Friday), Fireside Collective (Saturday Late Night at The 8x10), Twisted Pine (Friday), Wood Belly (Saturday), Pert Near Sandstone (Saturday), Caleb Stine (Saturday), The Honey Dewdrops (Saturday), The High and Wides (Saturday), Hampden Bluegrass All-Stars (Saturday), The Wildmans (Saturday), Chatham Rabbits (Saturday), Parker Zelter McCown & Friends (Friday), D.T. Huber and Whale Show (Friday). In addition, Allie Kral (formerly of Yonder Mountain String Band) will serve as the festival's Artist-at-Large and provides wonderful fiddle accents to many of the performances on each day of the festival.
