“Greensky Weekend” At The Anthem Draws Closer As Supporting Artists Have Been Revealed

In October 2017, The Anthem in Washington, DC, opened its doors, and a few short months later, in March of 2018, Greenksy Bluegrass first put down their tent stakes down to host their first of many "Camp Greensky" Weekends in DC. The two-night run at The Anthem has become an annual tradition on The Wharf as this group has performed there every year since 2018 - pandemic years withstanding.

For those unfamiliar with Greensky Bluegrass, they are a quintet based out of Kalamazoo, Michigan, and consist of Dave Bruzza (guitar), Paul Hoffman (mandolin), Michael Bont (banjo), Anders Beck (dobro), and Mike Devol (bass). At nearly every Anthem performance, Paul Hoffman and Anders Beck recall early childhood memories of what it would be like for them to be a music superstar, and they always mention how The Anthem is what they always thought their dreams would look like.

Just as George Martin was considered the fifth Beatle, lighting director Andrew Lincoln can be considered the sixth band member who provides the most distinctive and recognizable backdrops for the band's fiery performance since 2011. With the band's love of The Anthem and an enormous canvas for Lincoln to light up, these two performances always showcase the full prowess and power of this progressive bluegrass powerhouse.

In one month, on February 9th, the biggest indoor Greenksy Bluegrass concert event of the year will commence at The Anthem. These performances mark the tenth and eleventh performances at this iconic venue. Their Anthem performances are known not only for memorable Greensky performances but also for the spectacular musicians they invite to join them for the weekend. We have seen breathtaking performances by Billy StringsGhost NoteCris JacobsThe Infamous StringdustersRailroad Earth, and Daniel Donato.

Last week, Greensky Bluegrass announced this tour's supporting acts, and we could not be more excited - Molly Tuttle will perform on February 9th, and Melt will perform on February 10th.

Greensky Bluegrass Winter Tour 2024 Supporting Acts

Molly Tuttle will perform without her Golden Highway ensemble at The Anthem. We have witnessed this bluegrass superstar perform alone at the Appaloosa Festival in 2022 where she fully demonstrated how she can command and mesmerize a large audience with only herself and her acoustic guitar.

We are also excited to see New York City-based indie soul band Melt perform at The Anthem. They formed in 2017, drawing their sound from soul, psychedelia, existential pop songs, and ethereal jam sections, and have been gaining traction nationwide. Twenty-twenty-three saw them perform at HulaweenLevitate, and just recently at the 9:30 Club

Twenty-twenty-four is set to be another explosive and memorable weekend of music at Camp Greensky at The Anthem.  We hope to see you Greensky Weekend at The Wharf  and the momentous musical moments that await us all.

Tickets are available now including both single and multi-night packages.
