Photographic Artist Spotlight – Grateful Dead & Beyond

Jason Herman
January 10, 2018

The Grateful Dead are an instrumental part of the American musical landscape and among the founding fathers of "Jam Band" music.  Their influence can be found in so many bands in the 50 plus years that they have been around.  Sadly Jerry Garcia died on August 9, 1995, but after a brief hiatus members started forming their own bands and breathing new life into the Grateful Dead music.  In 2015, remaining members of the Grateful Dead reunited for a 50th Anniversary Fare The Well series of shows as Dead & Company.  Since then Dead & Company, with a slight lineup change, has toured regularly while Phil Lesh continues to tour with his Terrapin Family Band.
