Bluegrass legend Del McCoury brought his grammy award winning Del McCoury Band to The Hamilton in Washington, D.C. on Thursday, November 2nd.

A full house was treated to a spectacular evening of traditional bluegrass played by this legendary band and bluegrass living legend Del McCoury on guitar, older son Ronnie McCoury on mandolin, younger son Rob McCoury on banjo, Alan Bartram on bass, and Jason Carter on fiddle.

Of particular note this evening, there was truly excitement when Del McCoury announced that he would be traveling the following day to Allegheny County to sign a deal to continue DelFest.  This came as very welcome news to not only everyone in attendance this evening, but to fans across the country who anxiously awaited to hear if the beloved DelFest would continue.

With Del McCoury's announcement, the mood lightened and the music sounded that much sweeter.

DC Music Review can shout aloud with DelFest's most recent announcement, "Del Yeah! Save the Date, The 11th Annual DelFest is May 24-28, 2018".  We hope to bring you coverage from that event in May 2018 as well.
