Every year, local bands compete for a chance to play on the main stage at the annual LOCKN' Festival, with the winners chosen by the audience. Starting in February, we'll see three shows at the Broadberry, Gypsy Sally's, and Warehouse Theater. Winners from those shows will go on to compete at the finale, as of yet unannounced.

The first show, on February 15 at the Broadberry in Richmond, features Audacity Brass Band, Free Union, Landon Elliot, and Villages. The second, on February 22 at Gypsy Sally's in D.C., features Surprise Attack, Suga Grits, Nkula, and Black Masala. And the third show, on March 2 at Warehouse Theater in Lynchburg, features Morgan Wade & the Stepbrothers, Apple Butter Soul, Tony Camm & the Funk Allstars, and Chupacabras.
