4848 Festival is upon us and if you’re heading to it, here’s some great info, and if not....Why Not?

50July 11-13 in nearby Snowshoe, West Virginia, this festival is in its first inaugural year, yet with the feel of a well established event. Located on the mountain top of Snowshoe ski resort, at elevation 4848’, the festival features camping and a wide range of dance-in and dance-out condo options.  And as noted, even though a first year fest, the All Good Presents promoters are no strangers to successful events. They had a 20+year great run with the All Good Festival and countless events in and around the DC area including the multiple day Merryland Music Fest at Merriwether Post Pavilion.

The lineup features a cast of particularly well known national acts, and headliners that include Greensky Bluegrass, Infamous Stringdusters, Umphrey’s McGee, and Railroad Earth. Feature sets by other fan favorites include Lettuce, Marcus King Band, Turkuaz and Billy Strings. As most of these bands are close friends, do not be surprised to see frequent  guesting and unpredictable collaboration opportunities.   Find the full line up and schedule here, and our prior 4848 Festival news with logistics and tips.

And while you’re packing for the weekend, don’t forget about the Theme Nights. Get your glow on Friday night, during the “Let It Shine” theme - glitter, glows, and shiny things appropriate!  For Saturday, join the esCAPEade, as capes will be in demand for the “esCAPE from Reality” night.

Bring a bike, golf, or enjoy many of the other local experiences such as the lake or ski lift rides. Or just come to dance and enjoy the music. Tickets are still available, but going fast.  One day tickets are also available, so there’s little excuse to not show up for some or all.  See you on the mountain top!
