Simon Green – better known as Bonobo – brought a live band and his signature, atmospheric sound to a lively DC crowd at 9:30 Club on Thursday, March 3. The acclaimed DJ, bass player, producer and composer paired his lively dance grooves with a stunning lighting display to elate a capacity crowd in the renowned venue.
Touring in support of his latest album, Fragments, Bonobo delighted us with worldly beats combined with beautiful instrumentals. Nicole Miglis joined the band for several songs on vocals as did opener Jordan Rakei. The dance party continued nonstop for two hours before the grateful Bonobo thanked the spirited DC crowd for a memorable night.
Green and his band continue their world tour up north before venturing west near the end of this month. All of those before Bonobo graces Europe for 30 (!) shows, including five nights at Royal Albert Hall in London. Do yourself a favor and catch this stunning show!
