Cris Jacobs Celebrates Jerry Garcia And The Days Between In Maryland And Virginia

Cris Jacobs, a prominent and much celebrated musician in the DMV and beyond, will be honoring Jerry Garcia over the next two weeks as he performs "Jerry Garcia's The Days Between" at The 8x10 in Baltimore later this week and at B Chord Brewing in Round Hill, Virginia next weekend.

Grateful Dead co-founder Jerry Garcia was born on August 1, 1942, and died on August 9, 1995. Since this musical icon's death, Deadheads across the globe call the nine days in August between his birthday and his passing "The Days Between."  This period has traditionally been seen as a time to celebrate and honor the music and memory of Garcia.  Cris Jacobs decided to start this year's celebration a little bit early to get a few more nights of weekend celebrations in.

Cris Jacobs needs no introduction to any Deadhead, let alone Baltimore or DMV resident. Jacobs has deep roots in Baltimore as the frontman for the much beloved The Bridge. Jacobs has stepped foot on almost every stage and music festival throughout the region as he delights fans with his music from the smallest of venues to national stages.   Each year, Jacobs provides the region two special Jerry Garcia tribute performances. Each December, Jacobs performs "A Very Jerry Christmas," and each August, he provides "The Days Between."

We truly look forward to seeing Chris Jacobs perform at both The 8x10 and B Chord Brewing as he pays homage to one of the greats.  It is worth noting that B Chord Brewing will be releasing a very special Juicy Garcia IPA in cans to mark the occasion!
