The beaming pride of Baltimore, Cris Jacobs, once again returns to The Atlantis on November 22nd, 2024. This marks Jacob's second appearance at The Atlantis, having been amongst the first artists to perform at this club after a legendary 44-performance club opening. We cherish Cris Jacobs as part of our own regional music royalty. If there is one thing we can all agree on - no matter how many times you see Cris, you always walk away wanting more.
Jacobs and his band are riding high right now, touring the country in support of his recently released album, One Of These Days. This was his first album in five years, garnered high critical praise, and is celebrated as one of his best albums. One Of These Days is steeped with vivid storytelling, insightful observations, and intimate lyrics, all rooted in a foundation of folk, blues, gospel, and bluegrass with a contemporary tone. Read our review below - we just loved it, and if you have not already listened, you will love it too.
You may have seen the Cris Jacobs Band perform recently at the Hot August Music Festival, the Annapolis Baygrass Festival, or even come solo with a single guitar at The Ramble Festival just a few short days ago. One thing is certain about Jacobs and his band—they put on unforgettable performances and leave an audience yearning for more!
Cris Jacobs' Atlantis appearance next month allows you to witness an intimate performance in the cozy 450-capacity venue. If you think Jacobs and his band put on an impressive festival appearance, imagine being within mere feet of the band as Jacobs performs with one of his signature guitars, including his famous cigar box guitar. In addition to his usual stalwart band members, including Todd Herrington (bass) and Dusty Ray Simmons (drums), this tour will also include multi-instrumentalist Jay Starling of Leftover Salmon.
Appalachian Soul' band Magnolia Boulevard from Lexington, Kentucky, opens for Jacobs' performance at The Atlantis.
