For the first time, San Diego-based electronic artist DJ Susan touched down in the nation's capital on Saturday, September 9. Within 24 hours of stepping off his five-hour flight, Susan set the DMV's ears ablaze with back-to-back scorching hits. While his primary role was to warm up the stage for headliner Tchami, the vivacious crowd can certainly attest that DJ Susan's infectious presence laid the foundation for an unforgettable night.

Amid the plethora of mellow artists emerging from California's sunny shores, DJ Susan stands as an extraordinary outlier. Bursting with infectious charm and charisma, Susan’s magnetic presence is one to attract the ears of all. His beaming personality paired with undeniably noxious mixes is enough to elevate him beyond any stage. Not to mention his creative name showcases his true comical temperament.

Engulfing fans in the sweet honey of house music, Susan proudly bears the mantle of introducing newcomers to the genre. Once gracing Echostage, wizardry wove seamlessly behind his decks. Bangers like Secrets, Dream of You, and of course Smack That stirred within his caldron of hits, escaping through speakers. The unabating retort from the sea of bobbing bodies proved Susan’s magic had its grip on the DMV.

Susan's journey to the throne proves to be one of burning passion in pursuit of a vibrant evening. Hailing from the West Coast but making his mark on the East, he has become a true dynamic force in electronic music’s evolution. No matter which of the U.S.’ largest stages he enthralls, Susan never fails to curate genuine joy amongst a crowd.

It's not every day you can run into one of the most down-to-earth music personas, but if you're in the market for a transformative musical experience, attending one of Susan's shows is a must. Luckily, D.C. was far from this legend’s last stop. Gearing up for the rest of his tour, Susan is performing a few more scattered sets between October and November. If you’re an East Coaster and an EDM fanatic, his set at Philly’s Hijinx festival is worth waiting for.

With his endearing teddy bear appearance, radiant aura, and tracks that glitter like gold, Susan is one to watch. Don't miss out on your next chance to see the "Tech House Tony Robbins" live.
