Multi-platinum singer, songwriter, producer, and DJ gnash has released his debut album we today on all streaming and digital platforms.
The artist burst onto the scene with “i hate u, i love u” featuring Olivia O’Brien, which topped Billboard charts and earned platinum status 4X over.
When speaking about the album earlier this week, he said,
"I wanted to give everyone a bunch of seeds to grow flowers—everybody can take these songs and make them their own, and I hope it helps."
we consists of 13 track total, including his latest single “t-shirt”. Since its release on December 14, the single has garnered over 2.5 million streams. When asked about which songs he was most excited about, gnash excitedly answered,
"...there’s a song called “be”; “be” is one of my most proud works. And then there’s a song called “insane” that I love, there’s a song called “pajamas” that I love...I love all of them!"
Recorded in L.A. and Nashville, the album features production from gnash himself, Imad Royal (a D.C. native), Scott Harris, Jimmy Robbins, and more. Based off of the wonderful work gnash has released thus far, we here at DC Music Review are excited to see where this monumental next step takes him! Listen to his debut album, we, here.
gnash is currently on tour and will be performing at U Street Music Hall on January 19. I chatted with the artist prior to his sold-out show in Santa Ana—read the interview here and grab your ticket before the gig sells out!
