Summary: Pride and Jazz and Music Galore
This week makes me so happy to be in DC.
First, the kickoff of the 2019 DC Jazz Festival is on Friday, June 7 and there are so many incredible opportunities to experience pure sonic love. The festival invites people to, "explore the exceptional array of renowned masters and emerging artists from across the jazz spectrum and beyond" with an aural feast of shows to choose from. Some but not all, are listed here so check out the full schedule so you can plan your week accordingly.
Also continuing this week is the Capital Pride Celebration, sponsored by The Capital Pride Alliance which serves DC’s LGBTQ+ community through entertainment, community outreach and diversity celebrations.
