Lyrics by: Gordon Sterling
As a black man, if I stand I get shot down
My murderer will face no lock down
But, if I kneel then I feel every eye in the Nation
But, I will never calm or break down
Old white men know what's best for the People
And, I'm a threat that needs policing
58 dead and over 400 injured
Can't we all see where this ends up?
Chorus: America is sick
She might not make it
Her critical condition
Is near terminal
America is here for you.
If, you're white you can do what you like.
That's your business
But, if you're brown and you're poor
Then, get down on the floor
Shut your mouth! Stop resisting!!!
JUSTICE will never come our way,
If all we do is think and pray. (No way)
If these words make you burn inside,
Then, my brother, it's time to rise Let's ride.
Chorus: America’s is sick
She might not make it
Her critical condition
Is near terminal
The medicine she needs
Is inside us
The pill is in the meat
Let’s start healing
