Greensky Bluegrass has been honing their skills over the past decade and a half evolving into one of the premiere bands to see live. GSBG has taken traditional bluegrass music and put their own spin on it by adding a heavy dose of rock'n'roll along with jam band improvisation and just a touch of dark mysteriousness. With a nationwide tour currently going, GSBG will soon be returning to the east coast and has a handful of dates in the DMV area to keep fans satisfied. First stop is the 4848 Festival at Snowshoe, West Virginia, July 10-12 (GSBG headlines the 11th & 12th). Next in the area is The NorVa in Norfolk, Virginia on July 17 with the Jon Stickley Trio. They'll be rocking the MECU Pavilion in Baltimore, MD on August 1 with a couple more dates in Virginia at the Maymont in Richmond on September 27 and Strings & Things at the Salem Civic Center in Salem on September 29. Their full tour schedule can be found here.
With phenominal live shows and a dazzling light display that would rival any Fourth of July fireworks courtesy of Andrew Lincoln, attending any of these shows will be a summer highlight!
