The greater Washington DC / Baltimore Metro Area music scene continues to thrive despite the events of the last few years. Proof of our thriving music scene is the emergence of new music festivals taking root throughout the region. One of the latest festivals to appear on the DMV's music calendar is the inaugural Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival.  This bluegrass festival is set to take place  Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis, Maryland, on October 1st and 2nd, 2022.  This festival will blend the finest progressive bluegrass music with a gorgeous beachfront venue and a core mission to protect our treasured Chesapeake Bay.

Over a beautiful fall weekend, fans will get to enjoy music from Yonder Mountain String Band, Cabinet, Larry Keel Explosion, Cris Jacobs Band, Love Canon, Jon Stickley Trio, The Dirty Grass Players, Country Current, Circus No. 9, Stillhouse Junkies, The High & Wides, Geraldine, Moose Jaw Bluegrass, and Wicked Sycamore.

While listening to some of the best local and national bluegrass music, fans can dance in the sand, enjoy fresh oysters and Maryland seafood, chase it down with local craft brews and wines, and enjoy fun activities for all ages. Festivalgoers will enjoy two days of exciting activities, which include yoga, beach and yard games, a fun kid zone, and interactive workshops with bay conservation non-profits and musicians.

Part of all proceeds from ticket, food, beverage, and merchandise sales will go to Maryland-based non-profit organizations that work tirelessly to protect the Chesapeake Bay and its watershed. So just by having fun, you're helping the Bay. Baygrass has embraced the motto of "Every Jam Saves the Bay." With each jam along Sandy Point State Park, we will help our beloved Chesapeake Bay. The secondary mission of this festival is to increase mental health awareness in our communities and to connect the public with crucial mental health and wellness resources. So not only will every jam save the Bay, but "Every Jam Helps a Mind."
