Neighbor Set To Perform At The Recher On July 29, 2023

The Boston-based jam quartet Neighbor is returning to the DMV and set to appear at The Recher in Towson, Maryland, on Saturday, July 29th, 2023.  Joining Neighbor will be Baltimores very own and beloved funktastic band Litz.

Neighbor began as a collaboration between childhood neighbors Richard James (keyboard/vocals) and his childhood neighbor Lyle Brewer (guitarist).  James and Brewer recruited two exceptional musicians to join the band, Dan Kelly (bass) and Dean Johnston (drummer).  What started as a simple residency each Tuesday at Thunder Road in Somerville, Massachusetts, has transformed into a band that has stunned audiences on stages around the globe.

The last time Neighbor was in the DC / Baltimore Metro Area was back in November 2022, when they performed to a capacity crowd at The Hamilton shortly after coming off two blistering performances at The Ramble Festival.

Welcome To The Neighborhood: The Hamilton Welcomes Neighbor
Kicking off the past weekend, The Hamilton welcomed the Boston-based, jamtastic foursome, Neighbor for the first time ever Friday night.[...]

Since then, the band has released their highly anticipated debut album, Neighbor, which includes fan favorites like Trippin' In A Van, Mighty Apple Tree, Mary and Martha, and Pine Tree. Neighbor continues to captivate fans around the globe with memorable performances at Bonnaroo, Rooster Walk, and were part of the all-star lineup at Camp Greensky Iceland hosted by Greensky Bluegrass in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Trust us when we say that Neighbor is not to be missed whenever they come to town. Between James' soulful voice and virtuosic command of the keyboards, Lewer's unforgettable ear-worm guitar licks, Kelly's bass bombs and neon bass stings, and Johnson's exceptional drumming this band will leave immediately looking for their next tour announcement and Nugs.net soundboard release.

What makes Neighbor special? Seeing them live helps you understand what makes them so remarkable - not only is it their mesmerizing jams, but it is the band's symbiotic relationship with their devoted fans - called Neighbors. This symbiotic relationship between the band and the audience touches every performance.

We consider ourselves Neighbors and cannot wait to join our fellow Neighbors once again at The Recher next week. If you have yet to see Neighbor, then know that this band is unquestionably worth seeing - especially live. If you have already seen them, then we hope to see you once again.

This will not be the last opportunity to see Neighbor in the DMV.  When the air gets crisper and you want to enjoy late-night fireside jams we encourage you to see Neighbor perform at The Ramble Festival in Darlington, Maryland, on October 6-8, 2023.  Tickets can be purchased here.
