Nashville’s psychedelic punk-grass rockers, Sicard Hollow, is a four-piece progressive bluegrass band blowing away audiences coast to coast with their newgrass music. This band is proving to be one of the most exciting new bluegrass artists in the music scene today and is heading to Pearl Street Warehouse on Thursday, January 18th, 2024.
Sicard Hollow puts a younger and energetic style to newgrass bluegrass music. Before the band met in 2018, none of the members considered playing bluegrass. Matt Rennick (violin) was working on electronic music, Will Herrin (mandolin/vocals) was playing guitar in rock bands, and Alex King (guitar/vocals) was barely playing music at all. After a few jam sessions, the newgrass bluegrass flowed through their veins and out of their amplifiers. Then, in the Fall of 2019 they added Parrish Gabriel (bass), and the rest, you may say, is history.
Twenty twenty-three was a breakout year for Sicard Hollow, having performed at the Elevation Music Festival, Camp Deep End, Northlands Music & Arts Festival, Camp Navarro, 4848 Festival, and DelFest. They first caught our attention when they opened up for Kitchen Dwellers at The Hamilton Live in April and blew us away with two incredibly powerful performances at DelFest in May.
We are excited to see this band perform again as they headline Pearl Street Warehouse. Seeing is believing - and we believe you will be as impressed with this band as we are.
