{"id":104699,"date":"2019-11-13T09:30:41","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T14:30:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/?p=104699"},"modified":"2019-11-13T12:42:37","modified_gmt":"2019-11-13T17:42:37","slug":"new-pornographers-930-club","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/new-pornographers-930-club\/","title":{"rendered":"New Pornographers Rock a Sold-Out Crowd at the 9:30 Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Made up of eight members and with many more instruments in tow, the <strong>New Pornographers<\/strong> packed the stage of the <strong>9:30 Club<\/strong> on November 5 for a career-spanning set, and the first of two DC performances.<\/p>\n<p>Often called an indie rock supergroup, it is easy to think of them as more of a music collective than a traditional band, and their output together is at times dwarfed by the efforts of individual members (see the solo career of&nbsp;<strong>Neko Case<\/strong>&nbsp;or the music projects of former member&nbsp;<strong>Dan Bejar<\/strong>, who recently left the group due to the demands of his other pursuits).<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Lady Lamb performs at the 9:30 Club\" width=\"728\" height=\"1024\" title=\"Lady Lamb performs at the 9:30 Club\" data-id=\"105300\" src=\"\/\/www.dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Lady-Lamb-2-1.jpg\" scale=\"0\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lady Lamb<\/p>\n<p>But following an opening set of pop-rock offered up by&nbsp;<strong>Lady Lamb<\/strong>, all of the aforementioned considerations were swept aside.&nbsp;
