If you were at <\/span>DelFest ’14<\/span><\/strong> over Memorial Day Weekend, you had the opportunity to see <\/span>Molly Tuttle<\/span><\/strong> perform not once but TWICE – each time, leaving an indelible mark on the audience.<\/span><\/p>\n

Molly Tuttle is among the most compelling new voices in the bluegrass and Americana music world. A native of Northern California, Tuttle headed east, immersed herself deep in the heart of bluegrass, Americana, and country, Nashville, Tennesse, and surrounded herself with an incredible group of musicians.  <\/span><\/p>\n

\"Molly<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2017, Tuttle was the first woman to win the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Guitar Player of the Year award. In 2018 she won the award again and was also named the Americana Music Association’s Instrumentalist of the Year. Tuttle’s has surrounded herself with an impressive and dynamic band. Golden Highway is filled with some of the best emerging talents in the bluegrass scene. Fiddler <\/span>Bronwyn Keith-Hynes <\/span><\/strong>was the 2021 International Bluegrass Music Association’s Fiddle Player of the Year and is one of the bluegrass fiddlers of her generation. Accolades and awards aside, the rest of Golden Highway is overflowing with talent, including <\/span>Dominick Leslie<\/span><\/strong> (mandolin), <\/span>Kyle Tuttle<\/span><\/strong> (banjo), and <\/span>Shelby <\/span><\/strong>Means (bass).<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Molly<\/span><\/p>\n

Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway<\/span><\/strong> come to The Birchmere with a brand new album, <\/span>Crooked Tree<\/span><\/em>, in tow, released in April 2022. This album was recorded live at Nashville’s Oceanway Studios and simultaneously honors the bluegrass tradition while pushes the genre into a new direction. This album is a delightful follow-up to her 2020 album <\/span>But I’d Rather Be With You.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

For those who had the opportunity to see Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway perform at DelFest, this is a rare opportunity to see this bluegrass virtuoso twice in a few short months.
