2022 has been the year of <\/span>Sierra Hull<\/span><\/strong>, and the year is far from over for Hull or music fans!<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Sierra<\/span><\/p>\n

For those who have not heard of Sierra Hull, she is widely regarded as a master mandolin player and is a four-time recipient of the International Bluegrass Music Association’s<\/strong> Mandolin Player of the Year – the first woman ever to receive this distinction. Hull is also a two-time Grammy<\/strong> Nominated artist and songwriter, recognized for both her most recent projects, <\/span>25 Trips<\/span><\/em> (2020) and <\/span>Weighted Mind<\/span><\/em> (2016). Originally hailing from Byrdstown, Tennessee, her unique sound is rooted in bluegrass, and she is widely considered one of acoustic music’s most inventive artists.<\/span><\/p>\n

After a whirlwind summer crisscrossing the country, the acclaimed mandolinist and her dynamic band left a wake of awestruck audiences at major festivals, including our beloved <\/span>DelFest<\/span><\/strong>. Hull shared the stage with <\/span>Emmylou Harris<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Madison Cunningham<\/span><\/strong>, <\/span>Margo Price<\/span><\/strong>, and <\/span>Billy Strings <\/span><\/strong>along the way. If you were at DelFest, you would remember her many performances and appearances, including an incredible performance alongside fellow Berklee College of Music classmate and friend <\/span>Molly Tuttle<\/span><\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n

This tour offers die-hard Hull fans the chance to see a full-length set with her band of virtuosos as they perform fan favorites and new songs.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are delighted that this tour includes a stop at our beloved Birchmere<\/strong> on Thursday, October 6th, 2022, <\/strong>at the Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, alongside <\/span>Lindsay Lou<\/span><\/strong>. Normally we would be overjoyed to see Sierra Hull and her band perform at The Birchmere. However, the opportunity to see Hull alongside Lindsay Lou share the same stage is an extremely compelling reason to make our way to one of Alexandria’s most historic music halls. <\/span><\/p>\n
