{"id":121479,"date":"2022-10-14T15:00:42","date_gmt":"2022-10-14T19:00:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/?p=121479"},"modified":"2022-10-14T19:10:12","modified_gmt":"2022-10-14T23:10:12","slug":"ramblin-on-underneath-the-harvest-moon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/ramblin-on-underneath-the-harvest-moon\/","title":{"rendered":"Ramblin On Underneath the Harvest Moon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>With cooler temperatures sneaking in, hours of daylight getting fewer and fewer and holidays just over the horizon, we have come to the time of year where we sadly bid farewell to festival season on the east coast. &nbsp;Thankfully, one last trip to the stage was available and thoroughly enjoyed by those of us who were able to attend the first ever <strong>Ramble Festival <\/strong>in Darlington, Maryland October 7th, 8th and 9th.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Leftover Salmon perform at Ramble Festival 2022\" data-id=\"121667\" width=\"339\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"226\" data-init-height=\"683\" title=\"Leftover Salmon perform at Ramble Festival 2022\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61255-1.jpg\" data-width=\"339\" data-height=\"226\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leftover Salmon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hearing of the inaugural event when they announced themselves onto the scene back in the Spring and continuing to build anticipation with a <em>stellar <\/em>lineup announcement a few months later, organizers of the brand-new festival definitely did NOT disappoint. &nbsp;Headlining acts <strong>The Travelin McCourys<\/strong>, <strong>Leftover Salmon <\/strong>and <strong>Keller Williams<\/strong> I <strong>Grateful Grass<\/strong> set the scene for a great time, while Harford County proved to be the perfect setting to enjoy a beautiful few days of Fall festival fun (say that three times fast). &nbsp;Adding in some late-night fun with <strong>Neighbor<\/strong>, fan favorite covers thanks to&nbsp;<strong>Pink Talking Phish, <\/strong>one helluva get-down, care of <strong>Big &nbsp;Something<\/strong> and a collective three band super-group to close out the weekend on Sunday, and there was no doubt some off-the-charts fun that was awaiting ticket holders.<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Leftover Salmon perform at Ramble Festival 2022\" data-id=\"121667\" width=\"679\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"453\" data-init-height=\"683\" title=\"Leftover Salmon perform at Ramble Festival 2022\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61255-1.jpg\" data-width=\"679\" data-height=\"453\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leftover Salmon<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert - the creative force behind Ramble Festival\" data-id=\"121681\" width=\"272\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"217\" data-init-height=\"819\" title=\"Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert - the creative force behind Ramble Festival\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR62978.jpg\" data-width=\"272\" data-height=\"217\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert<\/p>\n<p>An almost textbook example of \u2018takes one to know one\u2019 was more than obviously the reason that the atmosphere was so relaxed and enjoyable down at Ramble&#8217;s inaugural year. &nbsp;Due almost all in part to the fact that the organizers of the marvelous event, <strong>Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr<\/strong> and <strong>Jason Hubert<\/strong> are two frequent festival goers themselves \u2013 these two know what crowd-pleasing means. &nbsp;Clear detail and thought were put into every nook and cranny of the experience and easily justify why we, as ticket buyers, continue to do what we do and how much we have come to love it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert - the creative force behind Ramble Festival\" data-id=\"121681\" width=\"679\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"543\" data-init-height=\"819\" title=\"Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert - the creative force behind Ramble Festival\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR62978.jpg\" data-width=\"679\" data-height=\"543\" style=\"\" mt-d=\"0\" ml-d=\"0\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Brandon \u2018Brick\u2019 Lohr and Jason Hubert<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"&quot;The Vibe Tribe&quot; were everywhere at Ramble Festival.<\/p>\n<p>The absolutely amazing group of volunteers that worked at Ramble, certainly lived up to their name <strong>\u2018Vibe Tribe\u2019<\/strong> and were one of the best things about the festival, in my personal opinion. &nbsp;From the moment you arrived at Camp Ramblewood, the tie-dye, t-shirt-wearing crew welcomed you and directed you to parking and camping as well as provided positivity and smiles the whole weekend through. &nbsp;They could be seen helping folks find things that were lost, telling you where you could find the Chill Pavilion to participate in activities and even creating a parade of their own that wandered through the festival grounds to spread the festival cheer.<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"&quot;The Vibe Tribe&quot; were everywhere at Ramble Festival and enriched the experience for everyone!<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival\" data-id=\"121669\" width=\"305\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"204\" data-init-height=\"683\" title=\"Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61910.jpg\" data-width=\"305\" data-height=\"204\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival<\/p>\n<p>Kicking the music off day one and following suit the next two mornings as well,<strong> Naptown Brass Brand<\/strong> marched their second line straight to the stage to get things started. &nbsp;Waking up to the sounds of New Orleans brass to winding down the nights at campfire jams that kept the music going until the wee hours of the morning, are just two more examples of how well thought out &nbsp;and planned the experience of the whole weekend was by organizers. &nbsp;The two festival-friends-turned-business-partners in this venture, figured that they should give organizing one of their own a try and were an undeniably success! &nbsp;In this attendee&#8217;s opinion, they definitely know what they\u2019re doing and truly outdid themselves, hitting it out of the park.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival\" data-id=\"121669\" width=\"679\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"453\" data-init-height=\"683\" title=\"Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61910.jpg\" data-width=\"679\" data-height=\"453\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Naptown Brass Band led the twice-a-day Second Line festivities at Ramble Festival<\/p>\n<p>Ramble was a festival where there are <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">no VIP\u2019s<\/span> because &#8220;<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">we\u2019re all VIP\u2019s<\/span>&#8221; and that mentality alone worked to make everyone feel equally welcomed and excited to be together. &nbsp;The campsites and cabins that were available for the folks who were staying overnight were set in locations easy to get to and had incredible access to the stages. If you arrived early enough on Friday, you were even granted time to take your car to your site to unload your gear as opposed to schlepping it across the camp, which was a true blessing and usually unheard of.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Master of Ceremonies Libby Eddy got into the spirit of onesie night and was the first avocado to ever introduce Leftover Salmon on stage.\" data-id=\"121677\" width=\"207\" data-init-width=\"683\" height=\"310\" data-init-height=\"1024\" title=\"Master of Ceremonies Libby Eddy got into the spirit of onesie night and was the first avocado to ever introduce Leftover Salmon on stage.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61072.jpg\" data-width=\"207\" data-height=\"310\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"\">MC <strong>Libby Eddy <\/strong>got into the spirit of onesie night<\/p>\n<p>Another easy addition that any party planner worth their weight in fun knows, is that a good theme can only add even more pizazz to an event or gathering. &nbsp;Themed nights that included \u2018Light It Up\u2019 (Friday), \u2018Roar It Out\u2019 (Animal Onesies &#8211; Saturday) and \u2018Drink It Down\u2019 (Octoberfest \u2013 Sunday) giving everyone even more opportunity to apply some uniqueness to their own experience over the weekend. &nbsp;Additionally, the Chill Pavillion had fun to offer in different ways with a crystal ball relaxation, plant propagation party (LOVE THIS), and of course the standard options &#8211; to take care of our bodies after boogying all night &#8211; with some stretch and flow options. &nbsp;If you took the time to stop by and see what the area had to offer, you were definitely not disappointed and the peaceful glow that was given off at night was just another variety of wow that Ramble had to offer up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Master of Ceremonies Libby Eddy got into the spirit of onesie night and was the first avocado to ever introduce Leftover Salmon on stage.\" data-id=\"121677\" width=\"0\" data-init-width=\"683\" height=\"0\" data-init-height=\"1024\" title=\"Master of Ceremonies Libby Eddy got into the spirit of onesie night and was the first avocado to ever introduce Leftover Salmon on stage.\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR61072.jpg\" data-width=\"0\" data-height=\"0\" style=\"\" mt-d=\"0\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Master of Ceremonies <strong>Libby Eddy<\/strong> got into the spirit of onesie night and was the first avocado to ever introduce <strong>Leftover Salmon<\/strong> on stage.<\/p>\n<p><span><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Stef's Free Cereal Bar\" data-id=\"121688\" width=\"331\" data-init-width=\"1024\" height=\"221\" data-init-height=\"683\" title=\"Stef's Free Cereal Bar\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/JHR68992.jpg\" data-width=\"331\" data-height=\"221\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"\"><strong>Stef&#8217;s Free Cereal Bar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Doing even more good than just hosting one heck of a party, the fellas also decided to incorporate some good for the community by hosting a donation drive benefiting <a href=\"https:\/\/rageagainstaddiction.org\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: none;\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rage Against Addiction<\/strong><\/a>. &nbsp;All weekend long, they had a booth and were accepting items to run a house and personal hygiene supplies supporting women transitioning from substance abuse treatment to recovery. &nbsp;Even better was an auction that had some absolutely amazing items up for grabs. &nbsp; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stefscerealbar\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: none;\" rel=\"noopener\">Stef&#8217;s Cereal Bar<\/a><\/strong> was set up a short distance from a fire pit and lovingly served hundreds of servings to festivalgoers around the clock. &nbsp;The cereal bar was invited by the festival<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/stefscerealbar\/\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"outline: none;\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;<\/a>because although they were serving free cereal to anyone who wanted it, they were accepting donations so they could help serve underprivileged children breakfast in inner-city Philadelphia. &nbsp;Ramble Festival also wanted to introduce a new vibe to the festival circuit &#8211;
