{"id":121731,"date":"2022-10-18T08:00:53","date_gmt":"2022-10-18T12:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/?p=121731"},"modified":"2022-10-18T08:13:41","modified_gmt":"2022-10-18T12:13:41","slug":"umphreys-mcgee-umxxv-tour-takes-them-to-the-930-club-for-a-two-night-residency-in-january-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dcmusicreview.com\/staging\/umphreys-mcgee-umxxv-tour-takes-them-to-the-930-club-for-a-two-night-residency-in-january-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Umphrey\u2019s McGee umXXV Tour Takes Them To The 9:30 Club For A Two-Night Residency In January 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is hard to believe that 25 years ago, a group of six magical musicians formed <strong>Umphrey&#8217;s McGee<\/strong> in South Bend, Indiana. &nbsp;<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The DMV has seen our fair share of Umphrey&#8217;s McGee and seemingly cannot get enough of this band and the band loves us right back. &nbsp;Umphrey&#8217;s McGee makes sure to always stop in and around Washington, DC, regularly, and this year is no different.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This January, the band will embark upon their annual winter tour &#8211; this year it is appropriately titled &#8220;umXXV Anniversary Tour.&#8221; The band will show some Umph Love to the DMV when their tour blasts off into 2023 as they kick off their tour with <strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">TWO<\/span><\/strong> nights at the <strong>9:30 Club<\/strong> in Washington, DC, on<strong> January 12th<\/strong> &amp; <strong>13th<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After Umphrey&#8217;s manages to cram their large touring rig into the 1200-person capacity 9:30 Club, they make their way North. To mark their 25th anniversary with all the pomp and circumstance we would hope for, they head to <strong>The Capital Theatre<\/strong> in Port Chester, New York, on January 20th &amp; 21st to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first show at&nbsp;<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Bridget McGuire&#8217;s Filling Station<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;on January 21st, 1998. On January 21st, umVIP kicks off the night with a pre-party at Garcia&#8217;s, featuring a festive catered private show by&nbsp;<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Hartliss<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&nbsp;(<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Brendan Bayliss&nbsp;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and&nbsp;<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Jennifer Hartswick<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">).
