Summer 2023 feels just around the corner, and with that, performances at Merriweather Post Pavilion cannot be that far behind.  The Head And The Heart have announced an exciting run of tour dates of 2023, including co-headline tours with Father John Misty and The Revivalists.

The Revivalists will co-headline with The Head And The Heart at Merriweather Post Pavilion on Saturday, July 8th, 2023, and will be joined by Jaime Wyatt.

Initially self-released in 2011, The Head and The Heart’s self-titled breakout debut produced instant classics including “Rivers and Roads,” “Down In The Valley” and “Lost In My Mind”.  Let’s Be Still and 2016’s Signs of Light, settled into Billboard’s Top 10 albums chart. The band’s fourth full-length album, Living Mirage, was released to critical praise in 2019. “  The album’s breakout track, “Honeybee”, became a fan favorite with 153 million + total global streams and one million global weekly streams.  The band has established its status as a touring powerhouse, having landed prime-time mainstage slots at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits. In total, the band has performed 15 times on national television including appearances on Ellen, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Austin City Limits, and more. On April 29, 2022, the band released their fifth studio album, Every Shade of Blue.

The Revivalists are no strangers to the Washington DC / Baltimore Metro Area and have been delighting fans since they first performed at Bangkok Blues in Falls Church in 2010.  Since then, we have seen this New Orleans band on the stages across the region  - from the smallest venues like Clare & Don's Beach Shack in 2010, to the single largest indoor music club in the United States, The Anthem in Washington, DC, in 2020.  Other notable appearances in the region include three appearances at Lockn' Music Festival in 2014, 2017, and 2019, as well as an appearance at Wolf Trap in 2018 and Merriweather Post Pavilion at DC101's Kerfuffle in 2019.   Needless to say, David Shaw (lead vocals, guitar), Zack Feinberg (guitar), Andrew Campanelli (drums), George Gekas (bass), Ed Williams (pedal steel guitar), Rob Ingraham (saxophone), Michael Girardot (keyboard, trumpet), and PJ Howard (drums, percussion) have all been very, very good to the region.  Their fifth album Pour It Out Into The Night is set to be released on June 2nd, 2023, and can be pre-ordered here

Tickets will be on sale today, Friday, February 24th at 10 am.
