We were already in love with The Ramble Festival's 2024 lineup, but we noticed one last little secret and one last little TBA in their initial lineup.

The first two years of the Ramble Festival were a tremendous success, with unforgettable experiences that you rarely see from a new festival.  The first year blew us away with an incredibly authentic vibe, attention to detail, and an unsurpassed lineup for a first-year festival.  How does one surpass their inaugural edition - you bring in living legend Del McCoury and his namesake band to help headline the festival.

Elevating Us All – The Ramble Festival 2023 Proves To Be The Most Spectacular Independent Music Festival In The DMV
On Friday, October 6th, 2023, the gates for The Ramble Festival opened in Darlington, MD.  From the moment guests arrived[...]

We were already absolutely blown away with their 2024 lineup, which included Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, The Devil Makes Three, moe., Big Something, Town Mountain, lespecial, Shadowgrass, Sneezy, Sicard Hollow, Scramble Greg (of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong), Haley Jane, Natalie Brooke, Isaac Hadden, and many, many others.

Now Ramble Festival just dropped the big one - and the reason you should get yourself to Darlington, Maryland - Andy Frasco & the U.N.

Have you ever seen a festival where Andy Frasco and his rapscallion motley crew of fiery energy perform before?  Have you ever seen what shenanigans occur during an Andy Frasco & The U.N. performance?  Will there be sit-ins, will there be crowd surfing, will we all dance the hora together, will we all lament under an Iowa Moon together?

This year, the creative forces of The Ramble Festival, Jason and Brick, spent a little bit more time elevating the festival once again. When your festival amplifier tops out at 10, what does one do?  Just a short time ago, when the initial lineup dropped we felt that the organizers set their Ramble Amplifier to 11.  Where do you go from 11? After this final announcement, we think that the Ramble Amplifier has been set to 12!

"We are thrilled to be going into the third year of the Ramble Festival with an extraordinary lineup of artists and an amazing community of Ramblers that bring the festival to life. The vibe is still the top priority for the Ramble, and the addition of Andy Frasco & the U.N. to this year’s lineup raises the vibes to the next level.”

A highlight of the festival are the sit-in heavy collaborative late-night sets that keep attendees Ramblin' well into the night - this year the super jams include  "Shadow Mountain" featuring Town Mountain & Shadowgrass as well as "The Fiery Sneeze" featuring Fireside Collective & Sneezy. Some of the many reasons to Ramble this October include roaming buskers through the festival, live painted murals and installations, an Oktoberfest beer hall featuring a variety of local microbreweries, a curated art gallery, nightly artist-lead community campfire jams, health & wellness workshops, and daily New Orleans style second line parades.

Trust us when we tell you that The Ramble Festival is a must-attend festival, and now you have one more reason to attend.  With that, we want to show you what you may expect to see with Andy Frasco & the U.N.

We are truly overjoyed with the initial lineup but are delighted to share this extra layer of Ramble Vibes and Energy with you all.

At DC Music Review, we value a festival not just by what happens on stage but what happens off stage and the festival's overall vibe.  The Ramble Festival's mantra is "Feel The Vibe and Find Your Tribe," to which we say "Vibe felt.  Tribe found."

So why do we think Ramble Festival is one of the most amazing and refreshing of festivals on the calendar?  Let us tell you a little more about the festival.

  • NO VIPS

  • Transparent pricing

  • The VIBE

  • Late night JAMS

At the Ramble, there are no VIPs because everyone is a VIP.

Festival Organizers Brick and J are breaking down the barriers that divide and bringing people together into a big 'ole community of music lovin' Ramblers. The last thing they want to do is divide folks into different groups when all they really want to do is bring folks together.

Let us repeat this again for everyone reading this article  - at the Ramble Festival, there are no VIPs because everyone is a VIP.   This is beyond refreshing and whole heartedly authentic!

These are just a FEW of the many reasons to Ramble!
