Vermont jam band stalwarts, Twiddle, return to the 9:30 Club on January 25th, as they kick off their 2020 Winter Tour.

Twiddle has relentlessly toured the United States for well over a decade now and are no strangers to the region. They have graced the stages of The 8x10, Gypsy Sally's, The Jefferson, LOCKN, The Anthem, and the 9:30 Club, to mention just a few. The quartet last appeared in Washington DC in October 2018 as the performed two spectacular and unique Holloween inspired nights of music. (See article below or click here).

Twiddle Winter 2020 Tour

2019 was marked by some truly unforgettable performances, which included co-headlining Red Rocks Amphitheatre with Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and tearing up the summer festival circuit that included a set at LOCKN with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead, Eric Krasno, and Jon Popper of Blues Traveler. The band took their foot off the gas pedal of constant touring and had a reasonably relaxed Fall 2019 tour.

We look forward to welcoming Twiddle back to Washington DC. We can expect Mihali Savoulidis's blistering guitar solos and reggae-inspired tunes, Zdenek Gubb's memorable "Gubb-Dump" bass solos, Ryan Dempsey transfixing us with the sheer beauty of his piano solos, and Brook Jordan holding down the rhythm all together as he gets into bass and piano battles with his bandmates.

As a special bonus to this performance, Scrambled Greg of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will open for Twiddle. "Scrambled" Greg Ormont is no stranger to Washington DC as he is a beloved funk hometown hero in Baltimore, MD. We are excited to see Scrambled Greg perform on stage as he is certain to mesmerize audience members as he loops, layers, and assembles stunning music before you very eyes.

DC Music Review has no doubt that Twiddle is coming off their Boston New Year's Eve performance fully charged and raring to go.
