The time is near for a highlight of both the winter season and music festival goers across the country. The end of February kicks off the celebrated three part series known as WinterWonderGrass and it's right on time to get the crowds warmed up for the 2020 festival season. The staff at DC Music Review is packing their bags and heading west to cross the Steamboat edition off their festy bucket list and are happy to share the journey with you as well as encourage you to make the trip yourselves!  

The event, being held February 21-23 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado is a snow bunny's dream putting powder and jams together in one amazing location.  Tickets went on sale back in the beginning of December and boasts an absolutely drool worthy lineup.  ​In it's eighth year since creation and fourth at the ski town resort that is often high on skier and snowboarders lists of mountains to conquer, organizers couldn't be happier for its return.

This years Colorado lineup boasts, just to name a few -  Greensky Bluegrass, Billy Strings, Della Mae, The Travelin McCourys, Pickin on the Dead, Horseshoes and Hand Grenades​ which is just​ a handful of the bands that DCMR has gotten to interview and cover in the past.  Get ready for three jam-packed days of dancing, pickin', s​now sports and some of the biggest and best in the ​scene these days.

Not only does the festival offer some of the ​most exciting artists and breath taking scenery that you can find in February, but also unique experiences that attendees are unable to find anywhere else.   Separately ticketed events during the festival in Colorado ​are unlike any other experiences you can get with musicians like these.  A Mountaintop Dinner with Keller Williams ​includes a ride up the gondola, a multi-course meal complete with locally-sourced ingredients, wine and beer sampling, plus two sets by Keller Williams.  Additionally, the Grass After Dark Series will return for post-festival programming that takes place at several of the locations within the ski area and downtown including Thunderhead Lodge, The Steamboat Grand Ballroom and Schmiggity's Live Music & Dance Bar.   Grass After Dark ensures there is something for anyone looking to keep the music going after the grounds close.
